Impact 2011 - The Blackbaud Conference For Nonprofits
Blackbaud has celebrated its most successful conference to date with our largest ever turn out of delegates from across the nonprofit industry attending Impact 2011 in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
 More than 230 people from 120 organisations, including delegates from New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore, came together 7 & 8 November to hear 35 local and international speakers from across the nonprofit spectrum. Delivering the key note address from the United States was Blackbaud’s Chief Scientist Chuck Longfield, whose presentation Passion Matters: How To Identify The Donors Who Love You The Most was so well received that it warranted a repeat presentation.
For the first time live updates of the conference were delivered through Blackbaud’s blog The Fundraising Funnel, and delegates were given the chance to contribute detailed feedback of each presentation.
Among the list of guest speakers receiving particular praise from delegates was Nicola Stewart from The Fred Hollows Foundation, who spoke on Driving Fundraising Income And Database Growth, and John Burns from Medicins Sans Frontieres whose insights on Upgrading The Value Of Your Donors Through Meaningful Testing garnered much interest.
 Other standouts include Blackbaud’s Stephen Mally who delivered a sobering wake up call to delegates with his presentation I Am Watching You! Monitoring How You Handle A New Donor And Treat That Donor Moving Forward.
Overall the feedback from delegates on this year’s line up of presenters was extremely positive, with the diversity of subject matter and the practical insights delivered being of particular note.
